I have a +16k expansion.
In any case, the game comes up on disk, right? I don't have a disk drive, so probably I will put the d64 file on an SD to play REALMS III on the Vic.
Yes, I'm really excited about to buy a new game for the Vic20...

So what SD card device reader do you use? Are you able to just place the .D64 on the SD card and your device will be able to load any program from it?Spectrum wrote:Thank you for your explanations.

Ok, you've to know that I am totally ignorant about this stuff, and that I "resurrected" my Vic20 only recently. I didn't know about this problem about the SD card readers.Ghislain wrote:So what SD card device reader do you use? I hear that some SD card readers for the VIC can only read .prg files.
According to the PDF of the device, it appears to support D64. I've been reluctant to get an SD2IEC device in the past because they required an independent power source. What's really cool about this one is that it has a more protective casing and uses the tape port for it's power source.Spectrum wrote:Ok, you've to know that I am totally ignorant about this stuff, and that I "resurrected" my Vic20 only recently. I am gonna buying this one: http://www.manosoft.it/?p=1&lang=en
But seems I've to get a real disk drive or to give up and play REALMS III on Vice.
We'll see. In any case, to play REALMS III on my real Vic I really need the +32k expansion, so I've to wait in any case (to get my hands on the MegaCart).
Meanwhile, I will try the game on Vice... (although I could always buy a disk driver...why not?)
It does, indeed. I'm pretty sure that with all SD2IEC devices, including the micro-IEC I own, you can change directories simply typingGhislain wrote:According to the PDF of the device, it appears to support D64.

Thanks Orion70orion70 wrote:Here's an attachment with System IIII collection, which was on Realms of Quest III diskette side B. It does contain Dunjon I and II.
Dunjon I&II were my first VIc-20 games that I had made in 7 years. And to think that it’s been 15 years since I had made them.dr.geek wrote:Is Realms Of Quest I still available for free download (also Dunjon I/II)?
Edit:- Found Realms I/II on the Realms Of Quest Blog, but no luck with Dunjon I/II yes
