I'd be interested. I think it's really cool that the Vic-20 is seeing a lot of new releases. And like carlsson said, $10 is comparable to the price of fast food (that's how I always justify purchases in this price range )

Gabriel Angelos, The VIC is inside the shield. The shield comes off really easily though. No special tricks or tools needed (assuming it is like my cost reduced model, which indeed seems to be what you are describing). So, yeah just pull it off :). It's not a problem with VICE. I just tested it on my NTSC vic and it looked just like the screenshot you posted.
