Ohio-Indiana-Kentucky USA Vic-20 stuff
I'm looking at paring down my Vic-20 hardware a bit, but I'm not looking to sell. Is there anyone within commute distance of Cincinnati who would like some hardware? Ex: couple of Vics, Wico command control joystick and trackball, expansion boards, etc. I'm not going to trash it, but it might end up...

Re: WTB: Cardco Cardboard 6
Ah, that's unfortunate! I've got a couple of Cardboard 3 expanders (just picked up a second one off Ebay), so I'm good.. but I generally always will buy something new to preserve the old. I have a HESware expander and didn't know about its idiosyncrasies until I read about them on Denial. Glad I did...

Re: WTB: Cardco Cardboard 6
It's a shame this one never seemed to get off the ground:

That's from a decade ago.. maybe it did get off the ground and sold out?

Tapuino datassette emulator
Has anybody purchased and/or built a Tapuino datasette emulator?
I'm going to buy an SD2IEC, and was wondering about the Tapuino as well.

LCD television
So I was looking into breaking out my Vic (and eschewing Vice for a bit), and realized I had given away my last crt during a move. I'm looking at purchasing a 32" lcd/led television for my Vic and Atari, and was wondering if any of you are using an external (i.e. not built into the tv) upscaler...

Re: Centuri and Universal
One thing I liked about Coleco . . . is their willingness to license "dark horse" titles.. "willingness" or compromise? I always thought they took what they could get when competing against other companies. It seemed like all a company needed was to say that a game was "in ...

6502 Assembly
I'm finally nearing a point in life where I may have time to indulge in one of my favorite hobbies again: the Vic. A question: Jim Butterfield's Machine Language for Beginners seemed to always be the 'go to' for learning 6502 back in the day. Is this still the case, or is there a more modern work? T...

Re: Why VIC-20 and not C64?
I am curious why most of you love the VIC-20 versus other computers like the C64? As one or two others have said, the limitations actually make it an attractive challenge, and on top of that, there's a nostalgia for things that one experiences growing up. As soon as I sell my current home and move ...

Centuri and Universal
From Atarisoft, I would have loved to see (and would still love to see from ANYBODY) Phoenix and Vanguard. One thing I liked about Coleco and their Colecovision (aside from the Z-80, which I've never really liked) is their willingness to license "dark horse" titles.. namely a couple of fav...

The Software Pirates Handbook for the VIC-20
Better late than never! I owned a copy of this back in the day (remember getting a money order with lawn mowing money when I was 13), and my family tossed my copy after I joined the army. I tracked down the authors and managed to get a copy out of them. http://www.bombjack.org/commodore/program-prot...
