I just bought a VIC-20 with a ceramic VIC-I chip. Datecode 08-1982. I knew that they existed, but have never got my hands on one before. I assume they are quite rare compared to the plastic versions.
Anyone else have one ? Which datecodes ?

Week 35 1981 to Week 8 1982 is a long window for prototyping ? Or you think there were simply so many rejects it was easier to throw the defect wafer and reuse the package ?

Re: PAL VIC-I In Ceramic Packaging
My Vic1001 should have a ceramic. My pal Vic was made in Japan, but not sure if it has ceramic, will look.
