I think they smell more like a waffle maker.

Good question, but i'd bet if you were to put a piece of bread in the expansion port you'd have toast after an hour. (Disclaimer: nobody try this)eslapion wrote:If they are toasters when why do they actually have fewer venting slots ?

Do they? Anyway, I don't think I've ever seen a toaster with venting slots.eslapion wrote:If they are toasters when why do they actually have fewer venting slots ?

I do think they smell slightly like bread (or another baked good) when they are on for a while.R'zo wrote:I would like to suggest that the 2-pin bread bins should be referred to as toasters. I think it sounds fitting.

@R'zo
The term 'toaster' in the Commodore/Amiga world refers usually to the Video Toaster which was destined to be used on later generations of Amiga computers.
I might suggest we refer to the 2-Prong PSU VIC-20 as 'The Furnace'.

Re: Toaster.
"Hot Plate" might be an option. There is quite literally a hot plate of metal right above the cartridge port, so that might work.
