Lode Runner control problem.

I am a big fan of this game on the C64 and would like to play the Vic20 version in Vice.
The game loads fine and I can move my hero in all directions, but when I want to dig a hole to the left of my hero, it always dig a hole to the right.
I`m using a Logitech USB joystick wich works fine in Vice64 and WinUAE.
Any ideas?

Press D to switch digging in front or behind your man. It depends which direction you are facing of course... that will determine where the hole is dug.

Having to choose on which side to dig is the one thing that irks me about an otherwise fantastic game. Being able to dig on either side (as selected by joystick) is what makes the 64 version(s) so much more playable.

I wonder how hard it would be to hack that feature into VIC LR...
