On two occasions now, I have made special versions of the Ultimate Expander that were modified to include the 3K RAM expansion.
I tried to refrain offering this option as the boards were rather difficult to modify to offer this option.
However, some people showed interest in having the 32k+3k configuration even if it implied paying me to work extra time on the board.
Adding the 3K option, considering it represents only 10% extra memory compared to the 32k already included, made the price per kilobytes nearly double but some people insisted on it.
So my question is, would you be willing to pay that much for this less often used but critically important option for running some specific software?

Not quite.6502dude wrote:The first and last options essentially say the same thing.
The first option means it makes no difference to you wether there is a 3k option available or not because, you don't use the UE.
The last option means you'll never use this option even if you have the UE because you have no use for it. Therefore this means its not worth it to have this option offered.

I didn't offer that openly as the only two I did like that were more or less testbeds.orion70 wrote:Too bad there's no "I shot myself in the foot when I bought my UE without the 3K" option.
The alteration that brings the extra 3k RAM really looks like its a handmade add-on.
However, if you already have a UE and would be willing to pay the price, now that I know the recipe for sure, I can modify your expander to have the 3K RAM expansion.
