That really looks good.
Ive been toying with some ideas for a simple platformer but that way outclasses what I'm imagining.
Great work.

Holy cow! That looks amazing.
Would love to know some of the technical details of the sprite...

Looks superb. I have rarely, or never, seen such use of colors on Vic. Shaded multicolor graphics look richer - and IMO better - on Vic compared to C64 as Vic has more actual color, i.e. instead of several shades of gray. Boulderdash is another recent example of that.
The game itself looks very promising.

Re: AndyH is working on something AMAZING
Oh thanks, I had completely missed this topic
I've found a good selection of colours (two main, + the variable char colour) that is working well for the Vic's multicolour mode. It's been a joy to doodle out the graphics (more on the blog) they mostly just flowed without much effort which doesn't always happen.
It will likely come with the source code as usual. The sprite routines extend on my VBM graphics routine I created for Turbo Rascal, but this time in a unit and blocks of ASM so you could easily use them in your own games. They're nothing special, but fast enough for what I need. Bit of a pain to work out when to draw a part of a sprite and when not to, I wonder if there is a better solution that what I went with ... but the main point is it works.

Re: AndyH is working on something AMAZING
Progress has gone well generally, although certain real life events had put a pause on the work. I am creating this version of the game as a bonus for a kickstarter by Andy Remic titled the 8-bit Wars, a film about games on the various 8-bits of our youth. Sadly Andy passed away a couple of weeks ago. I am determined to get the Vic 20 version of the game completed and will post some more recent updates soon.
