Ouch! This does shed some light on an astounding principle when it comes to VIC-20 and other early 80s computers and consoles;

The most boring games didn't sell very well so they are difficult to find nowadays. As a consequence, there are a few collectors which deem them very rare and valuable and are willing to pay a big price for them.

I guess one might call these baloonware...

Actually, Creepy Corridors is a damn good game but I would never pay that much for it.
