After reprogramming my dithering algorithm a great number of times, I've now got it to sound even better than in the video. I will include my conversion tool in the package in case someone wants to convert their favorite mp3 list to the vic-20.

Also check out the new video version at top of the page. While filming the TV I recorded the audio directly in the PC (with my asio sound card) so this is how good it gets.

Thanks! Yes, with ram everywhere you should be able to play 19.25 seconds at this sample rate. That would sound a little better as sjload still influences the sound a bit.

The first part is from one song in the previous version. The second part is the same song converted and played with V2. I hope you can hear the improvement, or two weeks of work has been for nothing! hahaha...

No, I haven't. You are more than welcome to show it!
There will be a V2.1 soon, I just have to test it first. With it, you can move the joystick up to play fast, down to play slow and press fire to skip to next song or quit playing if you play a single song.

I'm listening to it right now, looks amazing!
Just wanted to report that, as with the other release, I had to rename the ML1 and ML5 files to lowercase or basic didn't load them (on vice, ubuntu; file extracted with file roller).
