Yes, death is a terrible thing.
In one short moment the accumulation of everything they knew and experienced is lost never to return.
And if you know them, the loss is like losing a small part of yourself.

Sad news indeed. I thought Bill Gates paid a fitting tribute.

Never been an Apple enthusiast, always thought he was more a great advertiser and speaker than a visionary genius, but yes, I feel sad for his departure. He was too young, may he rest in peace now. :(

Great contribution to mass market appeal design and ways to waste time ;-). Strong at marketing. He will be missed by family, friends, colleagues, fans, consumers and Anti Apple folks who need a target.

Ipod was not my sort of thing - I was given an ipod nano and it crashed regularly with an obscure reboot sequence. The touch jog wheel was novel though.

Ipad and Iphone with its locked software and banning of emulators persuaded me never to buy one. No iVic20=no good

Search Youtube for "ruddy hell harry and Paul Bill Gates Steve Jobs" a very amusing set of very irreverant parodies and impressions.

Love or hate the products and the control it is hard to deny the successful leadership of Apple by Steve Jobs.

Another high achiever taken from the world too soon. RIP

He proved that success is 20% risk and 80% marketing.
