Very happy to hear you :D
I suggest you to place your order anyway so you save your pre-order list priority, don't worry for payment, we don't think to ship within 2 weeks.

Fantastic project!

Post by vk4akp »

This is a fantastic project.

I love the attention to detail that's been put into it all.

Right down to the cartridge case being just like the old cases and all the wonderful art work and box set.

I would love to add one of these to my collection but alas unless I win the lotto it's a little out of my budget sad to say. US$100 + freight + exchange rate = big bucks here in .AU.

But still I am so happy to see these available.

Thank you for doing this.

The Mega Cart isn't expensive, you're just living in the wrong part of the world

The same thing goes for pinball machines being imported into AU, think of the shipping costs on them suckers for collectors of them

Put you name on the Behr Bonz multi-cart waiting list to save a few dollars as a alternative...

Thanks  !

The Mega-Cart seems expensive until you calculate how much it would actually cost you to buy all these cartridges (even at $1 each) plus gas, legwork & time to patrol all the Thrift stores.

You know what's really expensive? The cost of years of therapy you will need to console yourself for not getting a Mega-Cart when you had the chance. :(

Life is filled with regrets. I do not intend to make not buying a Mega-Cart one of them.
In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.

I ordered one of these great cartridges a few weeks ago. And today I just revisited the mega-cart homepage again and spotted the 'login'-button.
What's that all about? How do I login? What is the advantage being logged in? :)

You are a very curious man 8)

At the moment, it is used by me and other authors for revising the site, nothing else

Cartrifge molds and art work.

Post by vk4akp »

I'd love to hear more about how you managed to get all the cartridge case molds done and artwork etc.

You really have done a fantastic job on recreating the old Retro feel.

It's a shame copyright exists, otherwise you could have really gone full steam with original CBM logo's and images. Now that would be nice!.

There was a guy once that did Hard drive's etc for the CBM scene. I think the company was CMD. Now he really had a nice old CBM feel to his designs. Right down to the case's and artwork.

Bring back the old Commodore days. Please please. Bring them back! ;)

Have a browse about. Just about every aspect of the development of the Mega-Cart was discussed openly.

CMD exists (sort of). You can find more info here but do NOT
attempt to order anything. Trust me.

What makes you think they ended? :)
