Brilliant machines those. I think Adrian Graham had a couple of extra boxes ones but I've no idea if he'd consider selling.Zeela wrote:I don't have a duplicate enterprise, but I know someone who has... And he will be atending RetroGathering.
Enterprise 128

The main problem with the Enterprise is it was delayed by years. The first prototype, made out of wood (!) was shown at computer fairs in mid 1984. Back then it was called Elan, but that trademark was already registered so they changed the name to Flan, then further to Enterprise. A lot of bugs in the ROMs, more than usual if I recall correctly. I think the 64K machine finally it hit the shelves in 1986, later followed by the 128K machine by which time the market had moved on to 16 bits anyway.
Woo Mikam, that's a lot of money. It'll be great to have you there, and I'll see if I can find some nice little gift for you.

The Enterprise is a really nice computer. I got two Enterprise 128, though only one is really in a good condition, the other one lacks the Basic-cartridge so it's can't really be used. It's also missing the power-LED and the joystick top. Gonna make a clone of the cartridge someday I think.
Here's some nice links to pages about the Enterprise:

To clarify any confusion: I just splitted the Retro Gathering topic so anyone who likes to continue discussing the Enterprise computers can do so in this section.
Were there any options or different versions of Basic so you had benefit from loading it from cartridge instead of having it built in? I know some other machines do as well, e.g. the Sord M5 and the Sharp MZ-700. The latter loads Basic from tape, not cartridge!
