Man - I have been off the scene for too long.

Today I had a moment of nostalgia, thinking of my Vic-20's and how much I enjoyed programming a game on it for the Mini-Game comp a few years back. Then I think - "Lets toddle over to denial and see whats going on - I haven't been there for ages (need to get my priorities sorted)" - and I see this thread. Amazing is what I say.

I would be mega keen on one (haven't read the full thread so if their is still a PAL/NSTC thing - PAL is what I am after).

Almost all games have been fixed to work in both NTSC or PAL mode. The cart detects which you have (based on clever programming from NBLA000) and game will work correctly if you have a PAL or NTSC machine.

I get the sprinkles from blind guys who I throw down flights of stairs
(at least that's what I have been accused of)

Supply of these sprinkles is quite limited.

Well, if sprinkles are more important to you than gold plating then I guess that makes the Megacart a very nice looking product that's not going to last very long...

Yes, exactly.

Games cartridges NTSC only:
BANDITS
CAPTURE THE FLAG
FINAL ORBIT
MOUNTAIN KING
TOOTH INVADERS

There are just one tool and 2 demo in extra section PAL only, they are:
HYPRA SYSTEM a tool by Mike
MUNAKOIS a demo
ROBOTIC LIBERATION an excellent demo

All other items, more then 250 (cartridge/tape-disk/tools/extra), work properly in both PAL and NTSC, in some case the menu detect automatically the system and select the proper rom PAL or NTSC,
you may use the same MegaCart in USA or in Japan or in Australia, Europe (i think France too but not tested in SECAM systems)
Mega-Cart: the cartridge you plug in once and for all.

I would buy a PAL system to see Robotic Liberation on real hardware.

I split some of the off topic discussion to a new thread in the off topic section.

Thanks Jeff.

While I'm a bit behind schedule, I posted an update in hardware forum.

http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bul ... 7&start=58

Based on work projects getting in the way of my hobby time, my previous expecation for GA date was overly optimistic.

I now expect GA now in September.

Final production units should have gold edgecard.

I'm still looking for alternate source of sprinkles as blind guys on stairs seem to be very hard to find.

Thanks for your interest.
I have not maintained a mailing list.
Once ready, I will post how to order details in this thread.

I posted an update to the Hardware forum.

http://sleepingelephant.com/ipw-web/bul ... 7&start=62

Over the past week it has been a pure pleasure testing the hardware and remembering - wow, it can to that too!!!

This is a really big accomplishment with NBLA000's programming skills and ideas for features.

Hopefully, I will be ready to take pre-orders in a couple of weeks.
