I just put up a VIC-1540 disk drive for auction on eBay. This is in pristine condition - you really have to see it to believe it!
Check out the auction here.
5 day auction... bidding starts, as usual, at 99¢.

Sorry 'bout that...DigitalQuirk wrote:You are such a tease.

BTW, I just wanted to point something out... I really hate how people throw around the word "mint" in eBay auctions, and you won't find the word anywhere in this auction description, nor any description for any item I have put up for auction. However, if there is a "mint" Commodore disk drive, this is it! Seriously! Sure, the outer box sleeve shows signs of wear, but that's to be expected from being moved around for ~27 years. But the drive itself is in immaculate condition. The only time I ever saw a Commodore disk drive in this condition was when I bought a NEW 1541 in the 80's!
Okay... I'll stop teasing now.

I just really hope that this drive finds a good home.

I must say, I'm surprised that it has gone that high and so quickly. Most legitimate bidders don't come out swinging like that so I start to worry when I see such aggressive bidding. The high bidder has a lot of feedback though so I'm figure all is well. Should be a nice payday for wiskow.

In the end it will be as if nothing ever happened.
I don't know for sure, but I have a hunch that the high bidder (ebay username "commie") is Bo Zimmerman.
