A timeless classic, huffelduff; way better than 1997's Anaconda!

I got a quick story: About a month ago I wanted to add a remote control to an automatic gate. So the control box is at the gate and its got this physical security pin (to prevent tampering) so you have to hit the front of the box to release it and then one can remove the cover (It causes quite a ruckus). Anyway I unlocked the box, hit the front of the box and removed the cover. AND then lo and behold, who was languishing on the electronics underneath? Mr. Snake. "Sh**!". How goes the saying: First you say it then you do it. Luckily Mr. Snake was not poisonous (I think), and he didn't seem disturbed that I had removed the roof of his new home. I had to tap on the gate to make a noise, and then slowly over about two minutes the snake left for the outside garden. I'm not a big fan of snakes, anyway thought I'd share.
So what's next Dave?

Wow, H! That's why out here in the midwestern U.S., a lot of us significantly sharpen-up our garden spades/shovels: so we can just cut off their heads and been done with them when we encounter them; but like spiders, they're eating something, and thus likely serving some useful purpose that we just aren't routinely privy to. (Now if we only can get J-Lo to spend enough time in the Midwest...) -OGMhuffelduff wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 3:22 am

One question: Could you publish the listing for this game so I can type it on my Vic20 and save it to cassette? I'm currently learning and typing everything myself to better understand the programs. Thank you.

You can find it using the github link provided by davervw1 in the original post.
The Vic20 listing is called snake20.bas and you can download it.
Good luck with the typing!
Yep that would do it. I looked up snakes of the midwest: Copperheads and Rattlers amongst the menagerie. Nice.Orangeman96 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 2:22 pm Wow, H! That's why out here in the midwestern U.S., a lot of us significantly sharpen-up our garden spades/shovels:
Hi Andy, snake games are indeed the best. I need to revisit snake games and try something with them too.
Hey hows the Ghostbusters development going?
