The Real Ghostbusters [WIP]
As a continuation of this thread I will be starting work on a 'real' Ghostbusters game. I don't plan to copy the original 8-bit (C64) version exactly, as it can get a bit repetitive.

Created a new routine to get larger things moving.

An idea of what type of game it is going to be is forming, and it will be a deviation.

I'll be very interested to see what you come up with. I've always felt The Real Ghostbusters was massively short-changed in the video game department. The best 80s cartoon show bar none and all it got was a dreadful shoot-em-up with bad scrolling and a crap Gameboy platformer with nothing to do with Ghostbusters at all.
The show was a merchandising behemoth (action figures, comic books, you name it, there was a licensing deal somewhere) and they couldn't come up with a decent game that did the show justice.

Re: The Real Ghostbusters [WIP]
I've been converting my new code to a library. Still some optimisation to do but getting there:
I can run it either as fast as the Vic will allow, with the cost of some 'jetpac' pixel flicker, or I can await a raster position to stabilise it with less flicker but also a slower speed.
This video shows it moving at full speed. Would require some wait states to keep the game running at a constant speed when the screen is less busy.
I'll be working on it more throughout the week, the weather here has been a bit too good to ignore so progress has been slowed.
