wAx2 is a significant update to 2020's wAx Assembler:

* Adoption of traditional VICmon-like commands for easy learning
* Arithmetic operations (+ and -) for address operands, including forward references
* BASIC variable interpolation for all wAx commands, including assembler operands
* State information exchange with BASIC (in the form of setting variables during program execution)
* Several new tools (including compare, file directory with name search, and help screen)
* Offers a larger selection of installable user plug-ins, along with a plug-in manager tool
* And more!

wAx2 will be distributed on the wAxpander cartridge, which will be released in the coming weeks. wAxpander is wAx + 24K, with a memory configuration plug-in on-board. A wAx2 (E)EPROM can also be installed in existing wAx cartridges, and a free (except shipping) EPROM upgrade exchange program for people who own a wAx cartridge will be announced soon.

20RDLE is an implementation of WORDLE for the expanded VIC-20. Your VIC is thinking of a 5-letter word. Can you guess it in six tries or less? Each word you guess will give you clues. A letter highlighted in green is in the right place, and a letter highlighted in yellow is in the wrong place.

20RLDE has an English (mixture of U.S. and UK) dictionary of 9000 words for your guesses, with the most common 3000 of those being eligible for selection as the secret word.

Description: The year is 2069. The moons of Jupiter are being mined for their resources. As a Moon Lander pilot your job is to travel to the larger moons of Jupiter to deliver critical medical supplies and other rare essentials to the different moon bases. You have limited fuel which gets partially replenished with every successful landing. You have lateral thrusters (joystick left and right - X axis) and a vertical thruster (joystick fire button - Y axis). The slightest contact with walls results in an explosive fireball.

Description: You are an intergalactic pilot transporting passengers across thousands of light-years of space to trading stations on the edge of the known universe. You have to avoid planetoids, small moons and satellites as you navigate towards each wormhole. To get to a trading station you need to make multiple routing wormhole jumps. Close to many wormholes are teleportation stations which can transport passengers from nearby ships and moons to the station. So when there is a station near a wormhole you need to dock your ship, teleport and pick up the passengers before continuing on your journey.

Description: This is (tries to be) an Exidy's Crash port. Drive your car avoding cars coming in the opposite direction. Can be controlled by using the Joystick or with letter keys 'O' (Up/Right), 'K' (Down/Left) and 'A' (Throttle). To start the game, use any other key (or Joystick button). After 4 seconds in the presentation screen, game will enter into 'Attract Mode'. Hit any key (or JoyStick button) to go back to the presentation screen.

Screen can be centered (only from the presentation screen), by using the cursor keys. From that screen it is also possible to change foregrand color (from Blue/Yellow to White) by using key 'C'.

The Archivist is a text adventure game in the classic 8-bit style, using one- or two-word commands to explore a world, solve puzzles, and collect items of historical import.

In The Archivist, you assume the role of a steampunk-era collector working in the distant future. To you, the past and the future intermix, and you draw on your vast knowledge to attain interesting stuff, sometimes with narrow escapes and feats of ingenuity.

Trivia: Iso is 'big' in Finnish

I always thought the VIC-1001 story was fascinating. After playing Japanese in Duolingo for three days I got the inspiration to check out how katakana was laid out in VIC-1001 character ROM and made a new big 8x16 katakana font in the same order.

8x16 seemed big enough even for readable hiragana, so I drew that as well. Rest of the characters are from standard VGA 8x16 font.

Both fonts come as an executable program that moves BASIC memory to 8192 ($2000) and does a soft reset. You can write and run your own programs, but the screen editor is not patched, so only top 12 lines are visible.
