No oscillothing required with this kind of boost. Need to check this on the real mill myself. If this thing is real that just saved ages of experimentation work on the next game. Ermh, I mean that time spent wasn't for nothing in the end. Thanks for setting my sorry ass on fire!

Ok as you like. But I still have an important tip for you. Here are some screenshots. No oscillogram necessary for that, spectral view is enough. As you can see, with "AmenB_Vic20Output.wav" (boosting JSR 7100 was disabled) something is hovering around 16KHz. This something is part of the audio data that does not belong there and can be heard as noise on the signal and indicates that the player routine is not working as expected.pixel wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 3:45 pm No oscillothing required with this kind of boost. I know this phenomenon very well as I was playing with SounDemon's 8-bit sample player code for SID a while ago and my tries and errors have shown the same screen at 16KB.
If you look at the screenshot of the data before it is output, you can see the difference.
Besides, you will find a zip file here in compareson with the RAW file and the output file recorded as Vic plays it, again. I think there is still something going on, it is not over yet.
(BTW: once you clicked on "add files", you have to place the cursor in position in the text body, then click on "place inline". So you attachments can be shared)

Valid rule today as earlier: 1 Byte = 8 Bits

I changed the modulation and carrier to something totally different, so the old version is probably deprecated in every way. Thanks anyhow.Noizer wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2020 5:44 am Ok as you like.
