VIC 1001 anomaly (AU)

Finally scored myself what I thought is a VIC 1001 via eBay AU: Details: Case is genuine VIC 1001 (metal badges) Definitely solid plastics (unlike other later models I also have) Power input is early 2 prong type Heavy duty metal shielding (no tin foil covered sheet) Manufacturing label states VIC-2...

A good diagnostic hardware would have connections on userport, IEC, joystick, keyboard connector. It just occurred to me that the Diagnostic harness for the C64 may have the correct pin outs that everyone has been scratching their head over for the VIC 20 version - especially the serial port compon...

It originally started out as a normal listing but the seller obviously decided that the item may go too cheap. I should have put a bid in on it whilst it was an open auction.

So how many different Vic20s there is ? US UK Germany (VC20) Swedish/Finnish Japan I recently wanted to bid on an original US VIC 20 (Revision E) with the metal Badge as against the "rainbow" plastic badge... unfortunately the seller wasn't interested in shipping overseas. Perhaps there n...

What is a realistic price for a VIC 1001?

I'm trying to track down a VIC 1001 (working). I've seen some crazy figures bounced around (most recently an eBay listing for a unit complete with box for about EUR799 - it apparently didn't sell). I know pricing has been discussed in several previous threads, but not as far as I am aware in the con...

I have the following items for sale (cheap): B. 1 VIC Forth programming cartride Anyway, if there is any interest let me know. Hate for it to go in a land-fill. John Is the Forth Cartridge still available? It would go nicely with my other "Forth" material including my vintage Jupiter Ace ...

Forgot to mention - my primary system is an Apple iMac.

Was thinking it would probably be a trivial task for someone with equipment like an uIEC, 1541-III, 1541 Ultimate, IEC-ATA, SD2IEC or MMC2IEC? (or have I misunderstood how these adaptors can be used?)

Is anyone able to "Digitise" a 5.25" Floppy t

Finally got myself a working VIC20 and for the first time in many many years I've been able to load programs I wrote close to 28 years ago from my old cassettes - only problem is whilst I can "refresh" the data to help preserve it, for another quarter century it will still be on legacy med...

Now all I need is an NTSC version of the VIC20... except the freight costs are prohibitive... so much good stuff in the EU and US at otherwise reasonable and affordable prices. Kicking myself that I sold my original early model PAL VIC 20 that I originally had from the 80's ... original style KB cap...

Does any body have a spare or excess VIC20 unit they want to offload at a reasonable price?
