Does any body have a spare or excess VIC20 unit they want to offload at a reasonable price?

Well done! Did you get a good deal or did you just bite the bullet? :)

I've got two:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 1010wt_962

- works with C64 PSU, case condition badly yellowed and stained. Tested working with Datasette and 1541 drive.

and

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... _500wt_977

- awaiting delivery, working status unknown but case looks in better condition even if it is missing a C= key (anyone got a spare?), was thinking of using a C64C keyboard (or just a single keycap) as a stop gap measure [from a C64C dead unit]

Other alternative is built a "best" system out of the better components from each box...

I was able to load and run software from cassette that I wrote 27-28 years ago....awesome!

Now all I need is an NTSC version of the VIC20... except the freight costs are prohibitive... so much good stuff in the EU and US at otherwise reasonable and affordable prices.

Kicking myself that I sold my original early model PAL VIC 20 that I originally had from the 80's ... original style KB caps and it was a low s/n 11335 :(
