Re: Cart with network server?

The idea is that the esp32 connects to the local WLAN and presents a TFTP (or something, code is not written for this) server to the world. The developer then compiles/assembles their code and runs a tftp "put" of the resulting binary into the esp32, which then dumps the data onto a built...

Re: Cart with network server?

Also, if you build your project as an auto-start cartridge image with the proper signature bytes, and put RAM in the appropriate block, you can load the image into that area of RAM. Then when you do a warm reset, the VIC will think there is a cartridge plugged in and auto-run the code on startup. So...

Re: Cart with network server?

You could use a Meatloaf network IEC device (which works great on the VIC!) . It's not commercially available yet, but you can build your own easily with about $15 in parts. https://meatloaf.cc/ https://github.com/idolpx/meatloaf-specialty You could then point it to an accessible folder where your b...

Re: Live Wire VIC-20 BBS

That's really cool, will try it out when I get a chance.

It wasn't clear from the page, is this running a real VIC or emulated in VICE? Both are cool, just curious!

Re: Vintage Computer Festival Midwest

Sadly I have to miss it this year. But it really is an amazing, huge show with plenty of Commodore content.

Our very own Jeff-20 often makes appearance, plus many other VIC personalities.

Highly recommended!

Not yet, though some are working on PCBs. Though it's fairly easy to build, a Lolin D32 Pro, DIN connector, and 6 wires.

Multiplayer VIC20 Games

Hi all, (Been a while!) So I've been experimenting with the new Meatloaf Wi-fi interface (https://meatloaf.cc/) and it works great on the VIC. It's an implementation of the FujiNet project for other retro machines, and has a number of cool demo applications like one that tracks the International Spa...

Re: #FujiNet apps on a 5K VIC? Yes.

I finally got around to testing this and got it working. This is so cool! I love the original PETSCII map.

BTW I'll be demoing this at World of Commodore as part of my display on cool network apps 8)

Re: 4,000+ programs VIC-20 listings

You can download at the link srowe provided in the first message. There is some really cool stuff there. Right, but downloading 4,000 individual PRGs is a little troublesome 8) If there was a bulk download link, I missed it. I suppose one could "wget" the entire site and extract all the P...
