Superb looking game!
I never could wrap my head around how these are possible on 1mhz computers - good job!

Do you have SD2IEC? You can download the D64-image (digital version) and check if it works.Navvarr wrote:Tried Load"",1,1 - same blank screen - will try a 16k game.

If you've got colour changes you have a fault of some kind. You might want to start off by cleaning the connectors with IPANavvarr wrote:Ok, some weird stuff happening- and I'm pretty sure it's down to the 32k ram pack I bought on ebay.
It appears to show the correct ram but on the top row, sixteenth character it constantly changes colour - so when I boot up my machine the
V - as in V2 is constantly flickering - if it was an unexpanded Vic20 it would be location 7680 + 16 - ie 7796
Weird eh - looks like my 32k ram pack has some memory errors- tried unplugging then plugging in and what not- same flickering character.
Re: New release : Pentagorat (32k)
I downloaded Pentagorat and played it through Vice- what a game - really Knightlore ish - very nice game indeed. I've not got very far yet, but will certainly want to play it through to the end.
I tried playing my own copy on a different Vic20 I had in my loft - still won't load, keep getting memory errors and syntax errors - I'm pretty sure the ram pack I bought is a dud.

Is there a download link for that latest version for those people that bought the physical tape?
Edit: OK, just saw the 'take me straight to it' link - think I need to change my reading glasses!

I could give few hints, but no.. you have to solve all puzzles without my help.

Re: New release : Pentagorat (32k)
It is an AMAZING game! I enjoyed every second of it - some tricky jumps excepted
- but I had to resort to save states to finish it. I was just so frustrated by the long jumps, but it all came together beautifully in the end - I found it a complete game experience of a kind I never expected to see on the Vic.
And though difficult, probably more fair than most comparable games from the 80s. Also, much more responsive and playable than all the isometric games I used to play on the C64 (I still enjoyed Fairlight
though)

I second this. I am crap at most games and twice as bad at isometric ones. Never owned a speccy or cpc.orion70 wrote:Any easier / trained version ahead?
