Hi Guys
I've been lurking on here for a while, but a few days ago the forum seemed to be locked out for non members so I thought I'd join in the fun "officially"
I'm in Coventry, UK - I got my first computer ( a VIC) back in 1983 but sadly I sold it to get a C64 a few years later. I bitterly regretted it over the intervening years...
Happily though I stumbled upon Denial and it made me want to get a Vic again. I think I've got it bad as I've now got the following (all via ebay) i've been lucky to pick up some (all fully working) bargains..
1 x 2 prong VIC20 - the one that gets warm!
2 x CR model VC 20 (a lot of vics on ebay are german ones, oddly)
1 x CR motherboard (working) - as part of a job lot of c64 bits including a working 1541 drive. Now looking for a case and keyboard for it
I've been tinkering and have got a CBM 8k rampack configured so I can run cart images off my SD2IEC. I've also managed to get images of all the games I had back in the 80s. Skyhawk, tank commander, perils of willy etc
I recently got a cheap box of stuff including a boxed Adman speech synthesizer cart (including instructions!)
Got a Vixen switchable cart to play most game images (had one of these back in the day too)
Anyway I thought I'd introduce myself and let you know there's another 3.5 working VICs over here to add to the Denial stable!
Ps I love all the hardware discussions and the mad stuff that people still manage to squeeze out of the little boxes.

I used to live in Chapelfields before I moved to the Isle of Man.
I have some spare gear tapes etc. mint boxed Atari carts if you are interested.
I will be in Coventry on 3rd Jan.
