For example ROQ3 might not have been written if there was not a system for expanding the VIC's memory to 32K in common use.
Therefore every piece of new VIC20 hardware/software/otherware is really part of an organic whole and helps nurture the entire system. With little entropic processes I predict that 2010 will be a better year than 2009.
I concur that Realms III would not have been written, at least in 32K form if it were not for the Mega Cart. I hope to see more 32K releases, maybe even 35K ones (using the 3K space at $0400 as well as 32K).
Will 2010 be better than 2009? I confess, that after going all out in '09, I don't have many plans for doing anything this year.

Practically speaking, I'd prefer programs that dynamically load data on demand than trying to utilize every possible memory cell that could hold RAM. No problem if those programs require 32K, but those VIC users of today who own some kind of huge memory expansion usually also own some sort of floppy drive, memory card device or similar. Hey, even RoQ III pretty much requires both 32K and a floppy drive.
