Yes I have a non functioning VIC20. Could be a connection issue, there are a lot of recommendations to unplug and replug the socketed chips, which is a good idea. I believe you will have to buy untested vics for sale on ebay and take your chances that the VIC chip is good in what you buy. Mike BTW The working VIC is no longer working. I tried to fix it working in normal mode without extension card by replacing two RAM chips along with sockets. I read in another post he removed the sockets and soldered directly in and the VIC is now working. These are wicked little boxes when broken. ...
