6560-101 chips needed
I need a few 6560-101 chips. Can anyone help me out?
I believe you will have to buy untested vics for sale on ebay and take your chances that the VIC chip is good in what you buy. I bought the mother board, no case or power supply, and found the VIC chip was bad on the mother board I bought. You pays your money and takes your chances. At least there are other chips. My mistake was I bought four VIA chips which are available for sale. Now I have two more VIA chips, presuming they are ok.

Check with some of those component brokering sites, like http://www.seekic.com or similar. I got 20 brand new VIC chips for $2.80 each from a Chinese surplus dealer and 8 more from Thailand for $1.80 each earlier this year!
BTW, I'm the guy who announced on the forum that I'd share, but due to my crazy schedule and the fact that I got requests for over 50 VIC chips, I sent a few out and flaked (my apologies to all and I will get them to you... eventually...).
I actually sent 10 or so to Ray Carlsen in exchange for fixing my two burnt out VIC-20's...
