For applications where the music is prioritized I am sure these new routines are superb but once you start to add advanced graphical effects requiring both CPU time and exact timing, the music player is preferred to take as few raster lines as possible. It'd be awesome for title tunes for games tho...

Re: I might be getting a C64, box full of games, & an AT
(yes a SHE :P ) Is it a rare thing for a female to own or have owned a non-windows/non-mac computer in your country or something? I know quite a few women over here who grew up with a C64 or Amiga. Instead of talking her into giving you the stuff you should talk her into keeping it, using it for so...

Getting rid of some junk! (Hardware & software)
For the heavy stuff (Archimedes etc) I'd prefer shipping it off to someone in Norway if possible. If you're interested in any of this let me know, a lot of it I'm prepared to just give away for free. If you do get stuff for free I'd prefer if you didn't resell it later but rather pass it on for free...

$100 sounds pretty steep for a C64 with no disk drive and no psu :/ Did you check ebay to see what they are selling for there? I'm sure you can find a cheaper one with a psu - as Orion70 pointed out, using a Vic 20 psu for the C64 is a really bad idea. I have a light pen for my C64 and I think I've ...

Hehe, I was both curious and brave (or stupid?); when I was writing Vic 20 programs on my C128D I used to have my Vic connected to the internal 1571 so I could load the programs and test them right after saving to disk. I did the same when doing C16 stuff on the C128D. No disk juggling needed, and i...
