The back of the vic connects to the modulator with a DIN plug. The modulator should have a phono female connector on it. A cable with Phono male plug and Coax aerial connector on the other end connects the modulator to the AERIAL IN Socket on the TV, note this is NOT the Video inputs. You then need...

Simple Modem Control

Recently I was finally able to get my hands on a working Commodore compatible modem, a 1670, but I'm having a bit of a hard time getting use to it. I usually have my Plus/4 set up in what little extra desk space I have, and when I use that it's mostly just for assembly, so I've got a few things to r...

I solder every so often and I had a good voltage meter, but it gave out and I was planning on getting a new one. And that's a great offer, but I like kind of far from Tennessee. I'm in Michigan, near the Detroit area. I would want to ship it out there, but I don't think I have the money left to ship...

C64 Help

I know this is a site for the VIC, and I love the VIC-20, but this time I need some help with a different computer. I got a Commodore 64 with a 1541 drive and some old disks and joysticks from a lady about a week ago. It used to be their family computer, and a lot of the disks were old disks from Co...

I just bought a C64 with a 1541 drive yesterday, and when I brought it home it was very obvious that the drive needed realignment. I can be pretty clumsy when it comes to working with electronic components though. And even after reading about what I have to do to realign the head, I'm still wonderin...

I haven't seen many Intellivision emulators, but I do have a real one, and auto racing. I got my Intellivision from a relative about ten years ago. They never used it much, and they had a huge box of games for it. I've never got much time to play any though. And if you lose any of the controller ove...

I'll post any progress I make. At the moment I just have to gather parts though. Since all of my radio crystals that aren't already inside of something are broken. And I would love to try Vic Rel. But I'm kind of short on money at the moment, and most Ebay things I find are to much for me. So for no...

Vic Radio

For a while there has been an idea for a project in my head, and I've finally decided to start working on it, or at least planning it out. One of my hobbies besides computers is radio. I've built a couple radio transmitters, antennas, and other radio related items, but ever since I built my first ra...

1541 Ultimate

While I was looking around the internet I found an interesting new device called the 1541 Ultimate . This device is made for the C64, but the reason I posted this in hardware and not in other systems is because I was wondering if anyone thinks this device could work for the VIC. I was also wondering...

I've seen a lot of VIC's and other 8-bit computers modified with red push buttons like that, but usually there's only one and it's a reset button.

If none of the buttons reset the VIC, then I would love to find out what they do.

Thanks.

It's good to know that, seeing as I'll probably need to buy the power supply.
I like knowing that the person I'm buying something from is someone I can trust.

Wow. That's cheaper then any others I've seen.

If my Plus/4 needs a four pin one, maybe I'll take your offer.

I'm not sure if the Plus/4 I got is four or seven pin, so I guess I just have to wait and find out.

Usually I like the earlier models when it comes to computers, but this time I hope it's the later model. Because I would much rather get a C64 power supply then a $60 Plus/4 supply.

Commodore Plus/4 Power Supply

While I was looking around the internet today I found a Commodore Plus/4 computer, with the user manual, for only around $10. But, after I had already purchased the computer, I realized that the Plus/4 uses a special power supply which I don't have or know how to get. I heard that a Commodore 128 po...

Even though I prefer Commodore computers to any other kind of computer, I still think the CoCo's are a pretty interesting computer. I had a chance to either get a CoCo model two or a C64 once, and I actually did almost go with the CoCo. Until I noticed the price was a little over what I could afford...
