Denial

Hi, I'm looking for a game I played when I was a kid. It was on a cassette tape but I dont remember the name of the game. The game is simple. There are balloons falling from the top and you have to catch them with a "bath". You can only move the bath left and right and the falling balloons make a zig zag pattern. Does anyone knows what I'm talking about?

No it is not that game. I found the old tape but it's damaged. It's not an original tape so no name on it to help. I have been able to load a couple of games from the damaged tape. There is one called convention. I think it's the one but it is not loading and I can't find a game by that name on the web.

If you can post a wave file of the tape, someone might be able to get it to load.

Edit: assuming you have cleaned the tape heads and moved the datasette well away from any CRTs (or better turn them off).

That game reminds me of a type-in game for the C64 called "Flash Flood Freddie" (IIRC).

Basically, you were a guy in a basement holding a bucket. The roof was leaking and you had to catch the drops before they hit the floor. Your bucket would fill up and not hold any more water. You had a sink on the side of the screen that you had to empty the bucket into.

Probably the best type-in game I've ever seen. Would love to see that game ported to the VIC-20.

It's not Lightsaver published in Compute?

It's exactly the same gameplay! The game I was playing as a kid was probably a ripoff of tha game.

They are all ripoffs of Kaboom anyhow heh
