What is the best way of cleaning the datasette heads?
With the liquid tape cleaner?
Or
With the fluffy tape cleaner?
Many stores in the UK still stock tape cleaners.
But i wish to use the correct one, without
Shortening the life span of my Vic.

I use pure Isopropanol and Q-Tips for cleaning tape heads.
You should also clean the rubber of the transport cylinder off tape dust. That's easiest to do while PLAY is pushed down.

Q-Tips... that's cotton buds to us by the way Smith
But yeah, do the same thing, clean the heads and the rollers of all dirt, you'd be amazed how much can come off old tapes...
Lie with passion and be forever damned...
