Subforum for graphics/demos/music?

I was doing some search on the web for samples of nice VIC20 PETSCII art, and shortly after returning to Denial.
Then I realized always I've seen some nice graphics here, it was in the programming subforum, secondary to what was being discussed in its thread.
As the name of the thread doesn't hint at the graphics inside, once the thread cools down, the work is forgotten.
In particular, when tools are being discussed, such as Mike's, some examples are pointed at. But some are ellaborate enough to have its own context.
In contrast, it's easy to look for the games, just check the releases or the games subforum.
I'm aware there's pouet out there, anyway, I wonder if there's a way to give more visibility to graphics/demos/music.

Standalone VIC-20 pixel art got announced/posted here in the General section mostly, "
Ghostship" and "
Jalapeno" being recent examples that come to my mind.
So, for the moment, standalone graphics/pixel art, demos and music can well be placed in the General section. If the author of the work wants to improve on visibility, she or he can always put a post into the Announcement section (i.e. Software releases of XXXX) and include a link to the corresponding thread for discussion.
As for discussion, in case of the "Ghostship" picture, I actually added a re-converted version so the picture can be loaded into the native editor of its picture format, Picasso. IMO, the included workstages are very interesting and should give people some ideas how to paint suchalike pictures. Not much response upon that ...

I like party discussion and releases in the general section or in the announcements.
But there are lots of nice drawings, such as those with the grayscale dithering experiments of a guy that almost lost them, I think you did some rescue work there.
Those old BASIC listings with interesting graphics, I think Sterling posted some of these this year. When it comes to old listings I still think it's easier to find the games.
It comes to my mind your Minigrafik Garfield too.
We could open a thread similar to the "post your programs here" i.e. "post your graphics here".
(TBH I propose this because I'm lazy to do my own work of collecting what I like).

I agree. The search engine sucks and it's hard to find particular posts if you're not Rain Main. As far as I can guess that's why people just download stuff because it'll be "lost" at some point.
Now that stuff could be archived in a more accessible manner some place else but there're barely packaged with licenses and that's also scary to some. Perhaps it should be cleared up that files posted here aren't private (unless we agree that Santa exists), so the works can be spread.
That's a far as my head can take it on a Sunday morning before coffee... yes, a Denial archive would be great. We could use a VIC as the web server if someone is willing to pay for the mains.
