The Vic 20 (Vic 20 Maxi) - Removing the splash screen?

I have a The Vic 20 or the Vic 20 Maxi as I think it is often referred to. I have it set to classic mode so it boots into basic. However, it still displays a splash screen first every time you turn it on. Is there any way to remove it so it boots just like a real Vic 20? There is nothing in the settings but I wondered if there is a hacked firmware or anything like that.
