Thanks, Mike,

yes, you'll need +35k expansion and a disk drive (SD2IEC is OK). To start the game you'll need to load the 'LOADER.PRG' (with LOAD "LOADER.PRG",8,1) and, finnally, start it with RUN. If that is what you are trying, can you let me know what type of problem are you having?

Cheers

I still have not been able to run this Prince O P. When the game starts, I see the intro screen but when I click my joystick button, the screen goes blank except for a few jumbled characters on the screen. Is there anything I am missing?

Please try the RAM-Check from this post and report back what it says. Running this may take around 30 minutes.

What expansion are you using? You need a full +35K expansion. +32K will not suffice.

Yes, I am definitely using 35k extra. I see the intro screen, but after pressing joystick, the screen goes blank and nothing happens.

I’m afraid I don’t know what problem you might have.

As Tokra has suggested, it would be important to ensure there is no problem with the RAM expansion you are using. I have tried with RAM expansion from, both Penultimate Cartridge and Final Expansion and it worked Ok with both. Just keep in mind that, after the presentation screens, it will take ‘some time’ (more than one minute) until the game actually starts.

Cheers

That was it, I wasn't patient enough. I am using the "Backbit" and its working fine. Just needed to wait for it to completely load. Thanks.

One thing I noticed and I'm not trying to be critical or anything is that "daughter" in the intro is spelled wrong. It's spelled "daugther". Just pointing it out.

Hey, you are totally right. Well spotted!. Just uploaded a new version (1.5) with that typo (and a copuple of other minor issues) fixed.

Thanks!

Sweet, I brought on a new upgrade 👍. While I'm here, I need to ask how to fight the guy with a sword? I'm unable to make my guy punch or kick, all he does is run and jump.

To be able to fight, you first need to pick up the sword (for that, you’ll need to find your way all the screens to the left hand side in level one). Once you see the sword, to pick it up, you need to press ‘SPACE’ (or Fire button in the joystick) while standing near the sword (there has to be one space between you and the sword, as shown below):

Once you have the sword, you can use it by using <SPACE> (or fire button) when you are in front of a guard (Prince automatically draws his sword when he finds a guard)

That explains why I was having issues. I never saw the sword, I was trying to fight with my hands. Thanks for the tip.
