Need advice on Oscilloscope probes

Don't get me wrong, it's fine to be nostalgic every once in awhile but when you're familiar with newer, inexpensive digital scopes and use them frequently, you tend to find old analog scopes just cumbersome.

no, i did that because it doesnt make a lot of sense. someone who upgrades from a CRT to HDTV can immediately use it and enjoy the benefits. however, as said before, thats not quite the case for a beginner starting to use a scope. there is little to no benefit for him that all those advanced features exists, and he wouldnt be able to use them either.

Someone who upgrades from an old analog scope to a digital one can immediately use it and enjoy the benefits. Especially beginners.

Not a fan of the Lag anymore. Laphroaig, Caol Ila, some of the Ben Riach.
