VIC-20 core for the MIST FPGA board
A new core has been released for the MIST device a few days ago, and it is the VIC-20! http://666kb.com/i/cunefrh7q9t9ne0dl.jpg Scanlines are supported already, however a USB joystick is currently not supported, you have to use an Atari/Commodore-style jostick. Currently only the 16K-expanded VIC is...

For that matter, was VC-20 sold in Austria, German speaking parts of Switzerland, Luxembourg and so on? All I can confirm to you is that it was also sold in Austria under the name VC-20. I didn't know about the name VIC-20 until the mid-90s when I read about it on the internet. BTW, in the 80s I wo...

Re: How to run cartridge dumps in PRG format
To load a game, just load it ,8,1 and then start it with SYS64802 For a 16K image you need to load both files before the reset sys... One final qustion: how do I make a loader program for multipart games? For 8k carts, it looks like this: 0 IFA=1THENSYS64802 10 A=1:LOAD"CONGOB",8,1 But ho...

Pole Position is tricky to get to start - you need to disable IRQ. In VICE, you can use Alt+R to simulate a soft reset button. On a real VIC, try: POKE 37166,PEEK(37166) AND 127:SYS 64802 I've just tried this in VICE - and it works! :) Thank you all. Now I'll take a screwdriver, and let's see what ...

Re: How to run cartridge dumps in PRG format
Ok, thanks! Now I begin to understand how it all works :) I've now tried this in theory with VICE, and most of the games work beautifully. BTW, it took me some time to find out that for 16K carts you have to type NEW before loading the second part, because otherwise you get an "Out of memory&qu...

How to run cartridge dumps in PRG format
Hi folks, having read the recent discussion on the Atarisoft titles, I checked out the PRG format cartridge dumps at ftp.zimmers.net and decided to open this new topic... Now how do I get these games running on a real VIC? I assume that I simply have to LOAD these files, and they automatically get l...

You're a little lucky to load C64-saved data on a VIC, but generally it works. I've copied quite a number of *.PRG programs to tape now with Copy 190, and all of them work! In case that anyone is interested, here's a list of the games that I have got running from cassette with that method: Unexpand...

Copy program for disk to tape transfer?
Hi all, I'm looking for a copy program running on the VIC (I have a 16K expansion if required) that can copy programs from floppy to tape . Where on the web can I find such a program? Or is there any trick for transferring machine-code programs from disk to tape? For a basic program, it's of course ...
