Tokra is correct. Doom requires 35K. And adding RAM isn't a trivial mod with this cart.

Here is the mod I did. The yellow circle shows it. Cut the trace going from CR/W to the via. Then solder a wire from the adjacent cart pad (VR/W) through the via to the other side. I just used the lead from a small capacitor that I had clipped earlier. It fit through the small via hole nicely. If so...
