Re: Let's bring ELITE to the VIC-20
Hello,
It is so impressive and forms a dream team of my favorite 80ies hardware and software finally being brought together.
Thank you for the effort!
1 question that wasn‘t mentioned in the comparison list: how many and which special missions are in this version?
Cheers,
Folko

Re: Prince of Persia
Congratulations!
I am following VIC 20 games since 1982.
For the system this is the best conversion of a game from far more powerful computers ever written. There. I said it.
The beauty of retro computing is, that there seems to be no ending to surprises like this, year for year.
Thank you!

Re: Megacart is back
Some more info arrived from Brian, he will likely start prodcution earliest this week after he has checked his lists. Price will be $99.95 USD. He thinks it takes him approx 4hrs to make one with soldering, assembly, packaging, etc. I think it is safe to say that there won't be any changes or new fe...

Megacart is back
Hi, I just received an email from Brain. He‘s planning a new production run for the Megacart. He‘s checking his old lists on who had interest. No def date, price (albeit prob similar to the old run) yet. ROM will be 2.1c for now and no changes to the hardware announced yet. Although I have the fanta...

Re: £10 off - Penultimate+ Cartridge Discount Code
That‘s very helpful information, Tokra, as I was thinking about getting one. Just for the convenience it is offering, the SD and the new games. But no PAL adjustments? I was taking this as a given in 2019. I‘ll stick with my straight-forward Behr Bonz, my RAM expansions and Disk drives (btw original...

Re: Behr-Bonz 2015
My Behr Bonz cart arrived today after only 5 days from shipping notification (Canada to Germany). Well wrapped and declared (no trouble with customs - other carts from the US once were suspected to be military equipment :-)). It works pefectly and beats any other cart in terms of quick access to the...

Preface
First, I think it's time to move this thread to the "Collecting and History" section. (Jeff?) I have to admit that it is quite painful and time consuming for me scanning the manual with my little scanner, but I can see some progess. I doubt that I'll be ready this weekend. To shorten the t...

Does vigil itself work? Is it any good? It works. Quality: Not by todays standards of course. But it seems to be an interesting mix-up of BASIC and machine language-like commands in one interpreter without the need to compile it. A history lesson in any case. It has been developed for the PET/CBM s...

Patience. :) Hope I'll find some time this weekend. Plan is to upload the scanned manual and a disk image with the 3k and 8k versions of the language. Again: Any ideas where to upload this? Greetings, Folko P.S. The introduction by the publisher is a real gem, it describes how the programmer coded t...

VIGIL
Just a quick update (though nobody seems to be interested except Jeff): I won the auction and the package (tape with 78-page manual has arrived). I think it's a gem from VICs' history. I will scan the manual and I already managed to save the 3k and 8k versions from the tape to disk although they wou...

I had to bid. Couldn't resist.
