.cas , .csm , .a0 & misc other files format

I have a few Vic20 files with .csm and .cas file extensions.
I assume these are raw tape captures?
Vice does not want to open them.
Is there a way to convert these to .tap , .t64 , or some other usable format?

I also have some files with endings like: .a0 , .b0 , .20 , .40 , .60 , .70 , .80
No .prg or anything, they just end in these 2-character extensions, how do i use such files?

These are probably ROM images, you can use them with VICE using the various -cart options.
