Tried ingle in VICE a bit over the weekend. What's installed as files in the flash file system seems to load fine.pixel wrote:get some taste of it.
However, even simple start attempts in window #8 made issues: when I attached 'minipaint.d64' as #8 and tried to run BOOT from ingle, I got a ?SYNTAX error in line 10584, and a LIST revealed:
Code: Select all
10584 +CHR$(Y):U=-1
After that, no recovery possible. Even after reset, retrying the load action gives me a "Can't open file".
Further investigation in the VICE monitor showed me BOOT actually was loaded, albeit to $4000. It's a file with a standard load address of $1201 and should execute fine on any environment that is equivalent to a +16K RAM expansion.
That being said, I have two suggestions:
- There should be a dedicated command/key which reloads the directory upon a disk change.
- With down/up/left already doing most of the navigating, cursor right should duplicate the action of Enter/Return.
