Trying to play Key Quest.

A while ago I was trying to run cart files on my VIC-20, but it seemed that it wasn't easy. Some people had converted some but trying the links now to see if there are any extra games is showing dead links. so my question is, is there somewhere that has fixed versions of cart games?

I'm trying to play Key Quest from my SD2IEC. I set the Vixen RAM to 8k, but the game won't run. I tried an sys number I found on here, but that doesn't do anything either.

Or is there a non-cart version of Key Quest?

It may still want the RAM at block 5 (as it's an $A000 cart, I should know, I dumped it!), and you can't do that with the Vixen, I own one myself. Game was only released on cart afaik. Do you have a Commodore expansion? You can open her up, some of them have dips for setting which block(s) get the memory.

Thanks for the info Mayhem.

I don't have a Commodore one (like the VIC-1110), so no option there.

It's annoying that I have the game, the computer and the RAM expansion, but I still can't play a lot of games. I'll have to keep emulating it :(

At least I got a decent score last night (well, 36,697 seems good to me).

Penultimate cartridge would be a (new) solution. I play cartridge games with it.
Key-Quest started ok but how I can move the screen position?

You can't, it's locked for NTSC.
