1540 Drive
Anyone interested in a 1540 drive that I cannot get to work? It looks good and has the original manual and disk. Thoughts on what this is worth?

Where abouts are you?

Where are you?
How much for sending it to Italy?

I am in Florida. My guess is shipping overseas will be a ton. I'll probably put it on eBay and see what happens.

I see. Starts: 06/16/17 at 18:45:13 PDT
I listed it this morning and 'scheduled' it as opposed to starting it right away.

I didn't intend to put it up as a "buy it now" but did by mistake. Thus someone jumped on it.

Re: 1540 Drive
I didn't see on your eBay auction that you announced the drive as faulty. If you deliver the drive like that, you could have trouble.vicassembly wrote:I didn't intend to put it up as a "buy it now" but did by mistake. Thus someone jumped on it.
However, you could cancel the sale and indicate the item to be defective.

Re: 1540 Drive
Hi,
Please don't cancel the sale. He will not be in any kind trouble on ebay but if Vicassembly takes a closer look where he needs to ship the drive to, that should match some recent thread here.
I was also surprised that it was not an auction but hey:
Errare humanum est
DESOLE but I am the one who hit the "Buy It" button faster than light and knew that the device was kind of defective or not directly functional... but reparable - thanks to you Eslapion. The unit seems to be in good shape according to pictures.
This drive was missing in my collection and was looking for one for months. I missed a few auctions, specially one last year which was Complete in Box with the Initial Blue Vic 20 logo box but the auction was ending slightly after my plane took off. That would have been a good match with the VIC 20 initial blue box logo that I aquired later on for a very decent price (in Trois-Riviere area). At least, I have the manual with that logo.
Now, I have found someone that speaks my language can help me to repair it... if he wants too and did not offend him by any kind (Eslapion). The drive is on good hand at least.
Is that drive was missing in your collection also? What was you intention?
Cheers
