Hey Mike, you finally posted this! I was eagerly waiting for the final version, as I was one of the (few?) lucky ones to see a working version a couple of years ago. I was impressed back then, and I am absolutely impressed now. A big thank you from your Italian friend, and congrats on this technical achievement! I am an absolute beginner at Mah Jongg, but I'll be practicing .
We nudged Mike at the Revision-party to just release it as is, since it is fully playable and too good to be hidden any longer. We already had a fun time trying to actually solve a board while at the party.
Now looking forward to the VFLI-version in full color... just kiddin'
This one seems to have eluded me last spring. A very classy version for the Vic, but also very hard! I haven't played Mahjong since Windows 3.1 and on C64 GEOS (also very nice version) and remembered neither the rules or the thinking involved. I had to use the hint function a lot and still had 60 tiles left to clear when I got stuck.
If it had been released in 1983 it would have been state of the art graphically and ranked among the very best games of its type. I'd like to picture myself on an Anrarctic research station having a great time playing this and Sargon Chess
