I'm expecting proper drawings to turn up when I'm about done...

Oops... if I had known I could have scanned mine, I built it just days before this thread started..[emoji15]

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
I'm not sure how many revisions of v3 was made, I finished the first re-CAD of the bottom side, this is a part that could easily be checked with a scan or a photo of a mounted board as there are no components in the way.
I guess I should draw it up properly with a schematic, it will be easier to make changes that way, I was just aiming to make a proper looking PCB as quickly as possible.

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
So I got this v3 board re-CAD:ed, it's not the rev 9 board, it's an earlier version, don't know if it changes functionality.
I liked the rev 10 with diodes and so on so I might change it to look like that.
I added the legend print from the original png-image to the second image.
I could get working PCB:s out of this now - if the png I found was a proper functional board.

Top side photo of the rev 10 board is in sinchai.de, in the build instructions photos. Maybe not with perfect resolution...
And if I remember correctly user rgrocha bought one too after I did, maybe he's not built it already...[emoji3]

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
I found the build instructions, that's how I figured out it's not a rev9 board, it differs on some traces. They've kept the back side out of the description so it's less than half useful.
BUT if you could help with a good image of the back of your PCB it might be possible to piece it together.

I have scanned the card, but files are too big to attach them to the thread...
EDIT: Never used this hoster before, but it allowed me to upload the file and promises no many publicity and no download delays. File will be active for 90 days after the last download.

Just uncheck the "use our download manager" thing before clicking or it will try to install a program...

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
I usually use postimg.org for images on forums, works like charm.
Nice ones... I think it's possible to piece that together.
I'll stop working on changing the unknown revision of V3 right away (just finished a proper one with schematic and was about to widen it for the additional items).
Here's a complete set, checked and ready for manufacturing - old style. For the ATMEGA get sd2iec_0.9.1_larsp_m644p.bin or later (if that works).
http://sd2iec.de (couldn't download anything at all myself -> Forbidden)

I've tried to download something and all is forbidden for me too. Even the GIT repository can't. Maybe they changed the server and forgot to apply the right permissions.

The domain is regitered to a person in Germany who's contact mail is from akana.de domain. www.akana.de is also a simple web that links to 4 or five projects, being sd2iec one of them. Given this maybe the contact info of the registrant is correct: nic(at)akana(dot)de

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
Seems like someone should have these saved away... this is the drawback when relying on a single source. But I\m sure it will get up again, or something else, I need to build the cart first and currently I'm no further than tracing the top of revision 10...
Any idea what firmware you guys with the Revision 10 hardware are using in your SD2IEC device?

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
Tracing went pretty good.
Good soldering on that back side and an excellent scan/photo, nice and straight.
I did my best on the front, almost got all of it, it will clear up with the schematic I made earlier.
Then it's just a matter of importing the red layers into EagleCAD in the proper size and CAD according to the pattern.
There's a lot that's the same as the V3 I already made, I guess I'll CAD it the same and then make a version manually optimized.
Only 1AM...

Re: FE3 - Recovered Technical Documents from lost website
I think you can get the version reading the errors with the drive just powered or reset, and it should also work with the sd2iec. I have not had the time or the space in my table today to check it because it has been occupied with a MSX Spectravideo 728 I was cleaning and fixing (I hate the design with no connectors, what is not screwed it is soldered AND glued ) but I'll try to get it tomorrow. I think I already tested It and it was the most recent one, but better checking it to be sure.

Just a thought but can't we get the manufacturing files from Donald if he has stopped doing FE3?
