I'm quite fond of my C16's appearance. Bread-box but dark grey. Nice.

I would lean towards the original Atari 800, with the 800XL a close second.

Wait a minute, Salora is a Finnish computer? I remember the finnish Salora tv's sold in Sweden.

In Sweden we had the swedish made Luxor ABC 80 and ABC 800 computers.

Luxor was also was one of the few in the world that marketed Fairchild Channel F and renamed it to Luxor Entertainment System.

In Britain Channel F was renamed to Grandstand and in Germany to Saba Videoplay.

Salora Fellow was a clone of Laser 200/210. Cheap and small.

Later Salora released a new model "Salora Manager". It was a clone of Laser 2001.

My brother bought Diamond Hunt. ;)

I loved the LCD games from Donkey Kong (double screen) to Manhole.

Since we're only talking looks, here...

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... -600xl.png

The 800XL looked cool, sure, but the 600XL was the same, basic design in a smaller footprint. Really slick!

i would also throw in a vote for the early TI-99/4a. A thing of beauty, that! At least until you start adding too many peripherals onto the bus connector off the right side... then it swiftly becomes one of the ugliest machines out there!

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... G_1680.jpg

And the only neat-looking TRS-80, IMHO - the Model 1!

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... ropped.jpg

I think all other TRS-80s are ugly. Not the CoCo series and not the Tandy series, mind you... we're just talking about the Z-80 machines, here.

Someone more qualified needs to make this into a poll. From what I gathered, these make the 1st cut:
  1. Apple Lisa
  2. Atari 800
  3. CBM 8032-SK
  4. Commodore 64C
  5. Commodore PET 2001
  6. Commodore Plus/4
  7. Kenbak
  8. TI-99/4a
  9. TRS-80 Model I
  10. Wang 2200
Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.

The Apple Lisa was 16-bit. Early Macs were 16 as well, it wasn't until the late 80s that they were 32-bit clean. The Apple IIgs was also 16-bit even though it was compatible with most of the 8-bit Apple II library. Hence, these machines would all be eliminated from the "poll."

Or maybe I'm being too literal :D
