I guess whoever wrote the game was speaking in English and programming in German ;)

I really like the games with flowers! It's the old but still valid message about making love, not war... :P

I know the feeling, It is especially wonderful to come across a real 'gem' like Dino Eggs. It is one of those special games that when you lose a life, you keep telling yourself "I know what I did wrong - I won't make that mistake again". You keep giving it just one more try to beat your own score.

Dude, your fingers' on fire! :D

Are you typing these in or scanning? Just curious.

Thank you very much.

I'm guessing he didn't scan them back then.

I had bought issues 5/86 to 1/87 and could scan the VC-20 listings if you are missing out on some of them. A couple of years ago, I transferred Mad Rush (7/86) to d64, so I could put it somewhere, if needed (one of our favourites in 86 and later).
Others may still be on the old tapes, but i didn't have the time yet, to transfer all of it.

I love the look of the platformers here. Are they mostly written by the same author? The ** TITLE ** would suggest so...

I've typed in most of the listing back in the 80s and am just catching up now with some I didn't type in. Scanning is not really an option. The work needed after scanning is about the same as typing in the first place. I have all Compute mit issues from 5/85 to 8/88. At the moment I have all type-ins up to issue 7/87. Just a few issues to go. Listing for the VIC got down to about just one per magazine in 87 and the last listing was in issue 3/88.

It's true that there were some more prolific authors providing several programs. Also, sadly, stealing code or even full programs elsewhere was quite common back then...

Do you have programming credits for Flipper Ball and Sub-Zone from the magazines? Those were the only ones from the programs you've posted so far that appear to have no in-game credits for me to reference.

The type-in game aesthetic is priceless. This is why I am stuck on the unexpanded VIC and BASIC. These images make me want to make a game right now.
