Different Boards Different Chips?

I'm looking at the boards of the 2 vic-20s I have. The first one is dead but the problem may be the chip in the metal cage, labeled MOS 6560-101 4681. The board is 324003, 1981.

On the 2nd Vic-20, I can't find the board number, but it has the 4 pin power connector and the power switch that goes up/down. This board also has a metal cage area and inside it is a similar chip. Both sockets are labeled UB7, but the chip in the 2nd board is labeled 6560-101 0383
Are these chips interchangeable or are they specific to their respective boards?
