Video Game Onamonapoeia

Post by Jeff-20 »

I had this grand idea for a web site today: The Official Onamonapoeia of Video Games. So far, I have "waka waka waka waka waka" for Pac-man eating... I'm having a difficult time capturing his death sequence.

I guess onomatopoeia is different depending on the way you pronounce words. Here in Italy, we read words as we write them, so I'd say Pac-man eats like "uaca uaca uaca uaca" and dies like "miu miu miu miu - plink" :P

Anyway, I have a great tune for a Pac-Man spinoff game in case anyone gets around to write one. Hm, it strikes me Quikman has already been released. Perhaps there will be an independent sequel to that one?

After reading this old comics strip, all that "waka waka" gets a new meaning.

Perhaps someone gets inspired by hearing some music:

It was written around the age of VIMM or VIMMII but never used in those demos.
