on-line documentation?

Post by PaulQ »

Forgive me if this has been asked before; I tried the search function, but didn't find an answer. I'm wondering if there's some place on the internet where all the manuals for the Vic 20 cartridges are archived, perhaps in pdf format?

This is the most complete site I could find so far for cart manuals.
Cheers :D

I don't have any game manuals, but there are quite a few other VIC related documents and manuals on my site: http://www.eskimo.com/~areed/vic/documents.htm

I know Carlsson did a good job with Programmer's Aid but may I suggest: http://www.zimmers.net/anonftp/pub/cbm/ ... C-1212.pdf

Which I made during the summer of 2006.

Yes, there is a good number of instructions in there but the quality of the scans truly sucks.

Over the last few months, I managed to get my hands on a number of instruction including the beautiful set of Games-20. Whenever I have a complete set, I scan the instructions and give them to Zimmer.

I hope to soon have all the instructions found on Replacement Docs and post better quality ones on Zimmer.

If I ever consider timewise to do for the Vic what I've done for the 64 on my site, then I'd scan all the manuals I own (over 100).

Not on topic, but I wanted to say your web site is awesome. Good job!

Cheers. It would a lot easier if I could PHP it so that all the entries are in a database I can reference and search on than hardcode HTML!

It's due a redesign in the near future so something to consider... except I don't know how to do that stuff yet :P

But I have always had an idea to put together a website for Commodore cartridges in the same way that AtariAge has a full database for all the Atari games.

Some great links there, but I still can't find what I'm looking for. Specifically, I'd like to find on-line documentation of Visible Solar System, VIC-1930. Documentation for the Vic Music Composer would be nice too. If anyone comes across this, do let me know.

I just received a boxed VIC MUSIC COMPOSER a couple of minutes ago in the mail. It has the instructions. I will try and scan it.
