Protovision makes still C64 games.. Why not make Vic20 games too..

Bah. That's the ugly, standard graphics version. This one I hand modified in Paintbrush (thus character cell boundaries may not be accurate). If I write the game, I will surely use user defined graphics and aim for something like this:

Please, don't drool on the keyboard.. it gets so icky to write.

Not so much action, and it seems rather random whether the goalkeeper will let in a goal, but it's something resembling sports. During the weekend I can look through my tapes & disks, as I think I have something slightly better (Football by Dick Lampe, listed in Your Computer 1983/84).

Mika, now that you pointed to this thread; how is the Finnish track and field going? I haven't done anything to my football mock-up, more than I begun defining proper characters and then put it aside.

I have tape, but I couldnt find image fron internet.

Its called 'Yleisurheilu'. And I cant find picture of gamebox anywere.

A WAV file maybe? If you can't host it, ask someone else. It shouldn't be too many megabytes, so you could transfer it even via email in the worst case.

Or how I do it..

Only have those that you connect to Commodore.

I am sure there has to be file somewere on internet, but dont know Vic20 FTP sites.

Now I have defined a character set and made a (ML) routine to print the playfield. The actual players were inserted manually, so it still is a mock-up, but on its way to become a real program.

I used double line width to be able to use the same graphic elements everywhere, without comprimising curves. It is easy to experiment with slimmer graphics later if I decide to.
